Second Life – Too Similar to This Life?

I was reading my freebie newspaper on the way to work this morning and in the business section there was a very short article about how the CFO of Linden Labs, the maker of Second Life, runs the economy inside of the game. This summer he banned gambling, and this has had some impact on the Second Life economy.
This seems very weird to me – there’s not even a Las Vegas in Second Life? Hmmm…maybe the real life we live isn’t so bad after all.
