Online Communities Organizer

Our company has developed a nasty bout of communities disease – we have online communities popping up all over the place. While they are relatively easy to get up and running, the ongoing administration, marketing and technical tweaking falls on a multitude of owners, none of whom seem exactly qualified. I was really interested to read this Seth Godin entry that a colleague of mine sent me. It seems that, while this role is not prevalent today, it will take off very soon.
If anyone out there is doing this as a job please post a comment about your experiences and advice. Very interested in learning more.
